D. B. C. Choir Plans
Out-Of-Town Trips
The Daniel Baker choir appeared
at Howard Payne College on Sun-
day March 4 with the massed
choirs of the various organizations
and schools in Brownwood. They
sang Elgar's "As Torrents In Sum-
mer." The choir also sang on Friday
March 9 at a luncheon of the Del-
ta Kappa Gama Sorority at t.he
Brownwood Country Club. Daniel
Baker College furnished the pro-
gram for the luncheon. Included
were also a piano duet by Betty
Jean Harris and Gaynelle Pierce
and vocal numbers by Myrtle Mc-
Broom. Miss B r a n o n was in
charge of the program.
A men's group from the choir
sang at the eleven o'clock service
at St. John's Episcopal Church
Brownwood on Daniel Baker Sun-
day. There is still a need for more
people to sing with the group
which hopes to make some out-of-town
appearances in Dallas and
elsewhere later in the spring. Any-
one who would like to sing and
to help in this valuable publicity
activity is welcome whether or
not he has had- any previous train-
ing or experience. This is one of
the best ways to put Daniel Baker
College before the public eye.

the strains of "pure corn not even
off the cob." A whole evening of
fun is in store for the whole town.
Brownwood and Daniel Baker Col-
lege have never seen the like of
this dramatic presentation which is
under the capable direction of the

worth Assistant Professor of Eng-
lish and Speech.

rehearsals and left weak and ach
