A useful aid for students of the Mexican War of Independence
is being published in the Anales del Museo Nacional de M&xico. It
is an alphabetical index to the materials contained in the Colecci6n

Mexico, de 1808 4 1821. Students would be grateful if some
agency like the Anales would undertake the work of publishing
indexes to a number of other standard books on Mexican history
that were issued before the day when it came to be considered un-
pardonable to publish historical works without these helps.
