States September 3, 1783; of Ancient Louisiana, according to the Patent of Crozat,
1712, purchased from France in 1805; Florida Treaty between the United States
and Spain, February, 1819, and January, 1828; Convention between Great Britain
and the United States October 20o, 1818; line proposed by Great Britain 1826; line
proposed by United States 1824 and 1826; line proposed to Mexico by the United
States 1835; and Treaty between Russia and the United States April 17, 1824. Photo-

California, Lower California, Texas, part of United States; states, towns, roads,
rivers, mountains, lakes, fur depots, location of Indian tribes, missions. A notable
road is the Great Spanish Road from the Red River to Santa Fe. Notable inaccu-
racies: (1) Waco Village on the Red River (2) Mier on the north side of the Rio
Grande (3) St. Patrick on Rio San Antonio. Inset: (1) Guatimala [sic]. Scale:
