that he Could Not help but ask Us to Eat Diner with him and
Spent part of the after Noon then went to the other Place thinking
that We would get a chance to Stop there One Night and perhaps
We Might get an Opening for Preaching but all was as Cold as a
tater we had hiched Our horses and went up in town and did
Not return untill bout Sun Down the Man of the Hous Came in
and Ordered us Off of his primises forthwith we had to travle
Way after Dark and we forded the Colorado River Whose Watters
came Up Mid of Our horses for a Number of rods And we had to
roost Under a tree with Out Our Supper Her I left One par of
pants Here we travled During this day with[out] Enny thing to
Eat On the Account of the Piety we found and in the Evening We
Stopt with a Mr Linchium got Our Supper
18 We Stopt with Mr Robison at the Allum Springs He had
lost his wife som 3 Month Since and her funerel Sirmon was 75$
he had Pade part of it and they was Duning for the ballance I
never Herd of that Cind of a trade before
On the 19th we got in Gonzalus in the after part of the day Put
up at a tavern Cept by one Goss Through His interposition we
Obtained the Cort hous On friday and Saturday evening We Soon
Created a grate Curiosity through that whole town preached boath
friday and Saturday Evening However when going to Examin
the Hous on thursday We had Created Such an Excitement among
the Citizans of the town that a brother Willson who had just Came
in herd of us And Came with a Smile On his Countinence twowards
us We was Much Surprised at this He Soon Made us aquainted
with him Saying that He had Just got in town and about the first
thing he herd was that there was a Cupple of Mormons Eld in town
so he soon found us After having intervew we lerned that he
lived bout 16 Miles down the guadaloope River He was dezirous
for us to go to his Neighbourhood took an apoint for Us to fulfill
at 2 O clock on Sunday 22nd however on the acount of rane held no
Meeting untill evening on the 23 we went to Clinton Some 20
Miles Here we found Seth Blairs brother We Stopted with him
Over night he was not verry poison at the Mormons we went538
