The city’s other historic theater, the Ritz, was demolished in the 1970s, making the Texas the last remaining historic downtown movie house. A fire in the 1950s forced severe alterations at the ground-level entrance. The theater is in the process of being renovated for use by the Palestine Community Theater Group. |
