Hall McMurtry will hold an in-
formal question and nnswer ses-
sion on creative writing his
own as well as the craft of writ-
ing in general.
Thursday evening from 8.00
to 9:00 p.m. in the HSU
Woodward-Dcllis Recital Hall
McMurtry will read from his
works.
Admission is free and the pub-
lic is invited to attend.
A reception will follow the

Meet On Campus During
The Fall Lectures
A widely known United
Methodist minister will deliver
the fall Carleton-Willson Lec-
tures next Thursday and Friday
at McMurry College. McMurry
trustees will also be on campus
to cxamino progress on the new
Campus Center.
Dr.'Barry Bailey will deliver
the three fall lectures at 9:30
a.m. and 8 p.m. Thursday and 9
a.m. Friday in Radford Au-
ditorium. Bailey is senior minis-
ter of tho 6100 member First
UMC of Fort Worth.
McMurry Board of Trustees

will hold committee meetings
Thursday and then begin its fall
meeting at 10 a.m. Friday says
Dr. Thomas Kim McMurry

The McMurry Board will hold
its general meeting this fall in
the newly remodeled lounge of
President Hall a women's dor-
mitory. Following practice set in the
1960's McMurry faculty and
students have also elected rep-
resentatives to sit with the vari-

Dr. Bailey the Carleton-
Willson lecturer has been
selected at the 1979 United
Methodist Series preacher for
the Protestant Hour radio prog-
ram and will thus be heard on
more than 1500 broadcast out-
lets worldwide.
He also preaches live over
television every Sunday on
KTVT to a potentinl viewing
audience of more than
2500000. The talks are heard
via cable systems in six states.
Student Teachers
Need To Apply
By Nov. 1st.
All students who plan to do
their sludent teaching in the
spring semester need to come by
the education office and pick up
an application form.
The form must be filled out
and returned to the office no
later than Nov. 1 1978.
In order to be eligible to stu-
dent teach a student must have
been accepted into the Teacher
Education Program 'prior to
doing student teaching accord-
ing to Dr. Jean Barrick Chair-
man of the Education Department."
