First of all I would like to thank
all of those students who took the
time to fill out the MSG survey.
The survey will serve as a
guideline helping us make deci-
sions that will do more for the
students and most importantly
what the students want.
One of the biggest concerns is
concerning dorm visitation. In
order to accomplish this we need
to know what times would be
good for you so that we may draw
up a proposal for passage by the
Administration and the Board of
Trustees. The Residence Hall
Association will become active in
the early part of October schedul-
ing dorm mixers and other activi-
ties to make it more pleasant
during the week and on the
weekends.
Another subject of talk is SAGA
better known as the cafeteria. Wc
have set up a committee not to
have food forums but to survey

Get down to business fasten
With the BA-35
If there's one thing business
students have always needed
this is it: an affordable busi-
ness'oriented calculator.
The Texas Instruments
BA-35 the Student Business
Analyst.
Its built-in business
formulas let you perform
complicated finance
accounting and statistical
functions - the ones that
usually require a lot of time
and a stack of reference books
like present and future value
calculations amortizations
and balloon payments.
The BA-35 means you
spend less time calculating
and more time learning. One
keystroke takes the place
of many.
The calculator is just part
of the package. You also get
a book that follows most
business courses: the Business
Analyst Guidebook. Business
professors helped us write it
to help you get the most out
of calculator and classroom.
A powerful combination.
Think business. With
the BA-35 Student

what is served together and offer
some suggestions and proposals
on what can be done to improve
quality and choice. The question
of using your meal ticket once a
week in the snack bar is also
being looked into and hopefully
can come up with a way to do this.
Maintenance has also received a
look of criticism but there have
been some good compliments
also. One thing to point out is that
it is not always their fault when
things don't get fixed. In order for
them to get materials to fix
problems they must get the
money to purchase the equipment
and this is where the time lapse is
usually at. If however you feel
that it is taking too long for a
problem to be solved come by the
Student Governments or talk to
me on campus and wc will go over
together.
I have talked to Dean Urban to
make sure that the persons who
take down the American and
Texas flag do so in an honorable
way and fold them up right. Also
wc are working to make sure that
you arc aware of all activities on
campus and to make sure that you
know who your senators arc. I've
talked to Ms. Gooch about keep-
ing the bookstore open on Satur-
days so parents and friends can
come and purchase McMurry
t-shirts caps etc. Studio McM is
tomorrow night and we will have
a new cassette player to play
cassettes. I ask that only one
person at a time be in the sound
booth and if the D.J. ask you to
leave that you abide by their
tcqucst. This way their is less
confimion and the order of music
can stay the same. Again let me
say if you have any questions or
suggestions or complaints please
bring them by the office or talk to
me or any other officer on
campus. To make sure that you
have a say in the movies wc show
come by the office and vote for
your favorite.
