At this moment a man across
the street waved his lint over his

faced duirer" referring to the colo-
nel who enjoyed tho badinage
hugely.
"They will crack their little
jokes on d-iys like this" ho
said "but of courso they don't
mean anything by it."

Seeing that they wero becoming a
littlo personal the general excused
himself and passed indoors. The
peoplo Btill continued to pour into
town and bands clubs and .delega-
tions from other town wero arm-
ing constantly.

say they had a nice time.
We hear that Mr. A. Vanham
will begin to gather his cattle soon

ness. Mrs. Dr. R. L. Smith met with n
