Minutes Aug. [abbr: August] 18th continued 1899

Aug. 18th '99 every one old and young telling many incidents of Frontier life, indian fights, etc. during his boyhood days.
Adjourned for dinner.

the association met at 2 p.m.

Speech by Uncle Billy Campbell.

Address by GransMa Whitaker, reciting reminscences of Frontier Life, and exhibiting a quilt, which was captured from the indians over 60 years ago.
Adjourned for dinner.

A special Dinner was prepared by "The Ladies Old Settlers Auxilary Association" for the Newspaper men of Grayson County.
The table was laden with nearly everything that was good, but the attendance of the press gang was not so large as was expected and the good ladies had lots of nice things left over, which they proceeded to dispose of for benefit of Old Settler's Park.

The association met again at 2 p.m.

Association reassembled at 8 p.m.

Claude Weaver of Paul's Valley son of Judge N. J. G. Weaver was introduced and made a very fine speech. It was simply a regular boquet of language from start to finish.
