Texas Holds
a Promise
This spacious and beautiful state is rich in its variety. For the
visitor, there is opportunity for enjoyment in our forests, our
parks, on our beaches and mountains, and in our interesting cities
and rural countrysides.
Our climate is temperate, and our people are caring and
friendly. Our State is young, valiant and full of promise. For indus-
try, there are skilled and willing workers, transportation, water
and a business climate conducive to quality development. For
workers, there is an emphasis on decent and safe working condi-
tions. For all of our citizens, there is a concern for a quality envi-
ronment.
Texas holds a promise, a promise to maintain the quality of life
- to keep our streams clean and our air pure. The Attorney Gener-
al's office stands behind this promise, ready to provide strict en-
forcement of our air and water and land pollution control laws, so
that all Texans, and all who visit this State, can benefit from its nat-
ural resources.
John L. Hill
Attorney General of Texas
