Washington Nov. 27. Tho
president's meepago is now about
half finished find ho ia denying him-
eolf to all callers to work upon it.
Hu does not oomo into his ollico ex-
cept on cabinet day? Tuesdays and
Fridays and works late into the
night. Heretofore President
Cleveland has usually allowed him-
self six weeks to work on his mes-
tagts. It iB supposed that he has
deferred work on this meet ago to
allow time for eomo developments
in the Hawaiian matter. The time
for congress to eonvnie is so near
that no longor del?y is possible. It
is therefore thought probable the
Hawaiian matter will iiu treated
later in a special rncsngo.
The silver question will assort its
right to a hearing in connection
with the tar ft". It will eomo up in
the si ape of a ropoition to put a
duly upon bilver 'liiuortationa not
in tho house but in lie una e. If
tho plans of tbohu who have the
matter in hand do not miscarry an
effort to secure this innovation will
bo mado in connection with the
metal schedulo and it will bo com-
pleted with an item concerning lead
and siiver. Lead ores for the pur
pose of this movement is twofold.
It may proparo the way for tho free
coinage of American products of
silver about which so much has
been said in recent years and it is
(xpected to prevent the counterfeit-
ing of tho American dollar in other
countries and sending counterfeits
to this country.

Cincinnati Nov. 27. At a
meeting of physicians prescribing

called to discuss with the discoverer
at his home here his published as.
sertion that change of climate is un-
necessary Dr. Ainick said today:
"A warm dry climate is beneficial
if the patient stays in it porma-
nently but harm always results
from a stav of a lew weeks or
months when the patient returns to
a colder temperature or lower alti
tude. Unless patients desiring my
treatment" be said "can go away
to remain until May I advise them
to take tho medicines in the comfort
of their own homes but before they
definitely abandon any proposed
trip depending absolutely on my
discovery to cure them I urge eacli
to first try the treatment free of ex-
pense and then decido for them-
selves. I therefore furnish free test
medicine? for all having any lung
trouble to enable both physician
