WOOL PROSPECTS.
Growing Popularity of Texas Fleeces
With Eastern Manufacturers
Other Interesting News.
A Pkksb reporter had a littlo
Bide talk with on indipputablo
authority on wool matters a few
days since who said that Texas
wools aro increasing demand
and the out look for fiuo Texas
wools is improving; that manufac-
turers are looking for good long
staple wools such ob are grown in
Central ToxaB. West Texas wools
he said show great improvements
and itB continuation will bring
them up to the vory top. They
were in better condition this
soason than for two BeasouB past.
TIub fact he said was appreciat-
ed by manufacturers in the east
hence the largo number of buyers
in this market this season and
their paying the extreme priceB.
So I01115 as theso wools are put up
in good order and condition be
continued they will bo sought for
by manufacturers in the East
who uso good wools. San Angolo
as the Piiess said hiBt week con-
tinues the best wool market in
the state or anywhere else for
even one of the leading wool
journals said that Texas wooIb
brought 2 cents per pound more
at homo than they would have
done in Boston. This proves
that our commission men Geo.
Richardson March Bros. Jackson
fc Neely Bros and C. W. Hobbs
are wide-awake and have the best
intereatB of their consignors at
heart besides having great in-
fluence with the buying clientele.
The Press hopes our fiockmaB-
terB will consider the hints given
out in the foregoing report and
govern themselves accordingly.
Let them continno to strive to
improve their flocks and thus add
tcthe pound value ot their clipps.
To the Press it seems that the
industry is on the eve of a great
revival that it has even riBon be
yond the influenco of tariff tink-
oring and that the laws of supply
and demand in spite of that and
wool trusts have again asserted
their power and authority. The
industry is one that in spito of
occasional vicissitudes itpaay
to "tie to" and the "Order of the
Golden Fleece" is alwayB as
honorable as it is ancient.
The despised and humble sheop
is certainly coming to its just de-
Berts again.
