day Mr. Fineberg was lying a corpse
iu this oily the victim of a night as
sassin. Growing out of tho killing of
Fineborg tho lifeless body of Mr.
BerryHood.who took his own life llosiu
tho court house at this place. This
morning at 11 o'clock Mr. Hood was
discovered in a stall in Russell &
Sims' livery stable by a negro em-
ploye and upon investigation it was
found that he had committed suicide
by cutting his throat from ear to ear
with a pocket knife. Tho preliminary
trial of Ed P. Coltou charged with
tho murder of Mr. S. Flneberg led to
tho arrest of Charlio Hood a boy
about 18 years oj ago the only son of
Air. Berry Hood under a charge of
Derjurv. They sued out writs of
habeas corpus and tbe cases were
tried before District Judge W. P. Mc-
Lean at Mount Vernon yestorday
who Hxed Bolton's bond at $200 and
Hood's at $500. This morning Mr.
Borry Hood tho father of Charley
Hood who lived near Loosburg wus
in Pittbursr making preparations to
procure bond for his son. Ho seemed
really dlattessod but it was not sus-
pootod that his troublo would result

to call a meeting of the Ohio district
assembly early hi January probably

choosing a legislative committee to
work at the state capital. The plan
is to organize such committee in the
same manner as the rational execu-
tive committee and to strive to se-
cure btate legislative action on snb-
