ened Anglo workers' reaction no doubt contributed to the failure of
governmental intervention in the oil industry. The most decisive factor
in the fight over compliance, however, was the opposition of Anglo
workers. The most striking result was yet another delay in the full in-
corporation of Mexican workers into the Texas occupational structure.
