anxious fathers desirous of locating

helraer superintendent of the public
schools at Emory Inquiring after hia
son W. Merrll Bodenhelnier last
heard of here about live weeks ago.
Latest Information was to the effect
that he hfld met with tin accident In
the oil lit his and It Is thought he may
now be In some hospital or else be-
ing cared for privately by friends.
The other letter is from II. B. Tuck-
er a lawyer residing at I'ort Arthur
Texas asking the whereabouts of h's
son. IL B. Tucker. Jr. who wrote him
about four weeks ago from Loiucta
saying he was coming to Breckenrldge.

The Rosenquest 1 of the Doshler
Oil Co. Is on top of the sand nwaic-
ing favorable weather conditions for
drilling In. This well holds the Inter-
est ot mar.v people. Included among
these the owners ot 182 lots lu the
Rosewood addition a part of which
it occupies on the north of town. The
lot owners In the addition will divide
among themselves a oue thlrty-econl
of the oil the Rosenquest 1 obtains
that portion of the royalty having been
allotted by Smith & Butler who put
the addition on the market Rosen-
qust 1 lias given several excellent
reusptis thus far for the belief that
It will make an excellent well. Its
log has conformed with the big Sloan
wells os the north und with others
on the north side that have 4btali;sl
large production. It hats a gas tlow
around 2!:00 feet that conformed with
gas had on the Sloan except that it
was much heavier. Incidentally It
burned the Deshler rig down when
first struck at some higher elevation
than on the Sloan. After drilling was
resumed the flow became siectacular

material from the well for a couple

Block 2 well ot the Southwestern

north of Walker and Is the closest in
of the wells on the north side ot the
restrictisl district to drill In. Show-
ing on top of the sand Is very favor-
able today to a good well.

State Railroad Commission continued
today their personal Inspection oi all
oil welts drilling and producing on

in regard to complying with the regu-

Wells visited on Saturday on ono
side of the town numbered more than
twenty !ive. The deputies will not be
able to complete their personal Inspec-
tions of properties for a couple oX
days crotably. although they are
moving t.s rapidly as possible. Meas-
urements are being made of the dis-
tances iii'tween tankage and wells and
between tanks and other data being
closely gathered. Some of this is be-
ing compiled and will be forwarded
to the cilices of the commission at
Austin where it Is Intimated that
some of the matter furnished wll re
suit In the making of new regulations
to iuor fully meet the requirements
of this He'd. This will certainly be
done. It was given to be understood
by the members of the commission
here last week. If It Is found upou in-
spection of the data that there is ned
for a broader scope of rulings. Th-?
commission is determined to do every-
thing it possibly can In aid of the
situation.
Gas lines are being inspected In
some degree us the wells are visited
on the townslte. but the first atten-
tion is to wells und tankage. The
gas lines will be gone over thorough-
ly subsequently. In the meantime
orders t'.ive been issued to the'opera-
tors of gas lines that they must stop
leakage- Immediately and also forth-
with proceed to comply with existing
rules by burying their lines. Action
along these lints has begun by the
gas Hn" owners lu different parts of
the town to some degree and It Is un-
derstood will be followed up ns rap-
idly us the men can be obtained to
earrv our the work.
In all the activities of the deputies
of the oil department have been mot
thus far with much In Important re-
sults nor the least Item In this being
the euoiieratiou extended by the oil
operator.
