7SCHOLASTIC POPULATION, COUNTIES AND DISTRICTS.
Table below gives scholastic
population of Texas by counties
and independent districts. The
first item given in each instance,
such as "Anderson. C. S. D..
5,204," means that there are
5,204 scholastics in the common
school districts of Anderson
County. Listed under this item
are the independent districts. The
last item, "total," under each
county is the total scholastic
population of all independent and
common school districts, that is.
the entire county. The census
was taken before the close of the
school year in the spring of
1926. and these figures are used
in making apportionments for
1926-27.- To find the apportion-
ment of State funds to a countyor district, multiply the census
scholastic figure by 14. the ap-
portionment for 1926-27 being $14
per capita.
