other purposes, according to the State
Board of Water Engineers.
Below are listed briefly the principal
presentations and applications granted
along the chief watersheds of the State
during 1925 and 1926, up to Nov. 1, 1926.
Colorado Watershed.
The biggest tentative project in the
Colorado watershed is one which is em-
braced in six applications, five of which
had been granted to Nov. 1, 1926, for right
to build reservoirs along the middle course
of the Colorado for the impounding of
waters for hydro-electric power develop-
ment, irrigation and all other statutory
purposes. The five applications granted
are for following given locations and des-
ignated tentative specifications:
Dam and reservoir project on Colorado
River in Burnet County, eighteen miles
southwest of Lampasas; to impound 769,-
000 acre-feet; 1,088,000 acre-feet per an-
num; dam 137 feet high and 690 feet
long; power, irrigation and other pur-
poses.
Dam and reservoir project on Colorado
River six miles northeast of Kingsland;
to impound 831,000 acre-feet; 1,225,000
acre-feet per annum; dam 165 feet high
and 2,500 feet long; power, irrigation and
other purposes.
Dam and reservoir in Burnet County,
two and one-half miles southeast of
Kingsland, which is in Llano County; to
impound 873,000 acre-feet; 1,305,000 acre-
feet per annum; dam 45 feet high and
1,200 feet long.
Dam and reservoir in western part of
Travis County on Colorado River below
Travis-Burnet county line; to impound
817,000 acre-feet; 1,225,000 acre-feet per
annum; dam 165 feet high and 2,500 feet
long.
Dam-and reservoir five miles east of
Tech in western part of Travis County,
near headwaters of present Lake Austin;
to impound 196,000 acre-feet; 1,391,000
acre-feet per annum. Dam 75 feet high
and 1,100 feet long.
The application pending is for a similar
dam and reservoir project near i\Iarble
Falls.
Other projects in the Colorado water-
shed are as follows:
Dam and reservoir on South Concho,
six miles southwest of San Angelo and
extending down below confluence of South
and Middle Conchos. Hydro-electric, ir-
rigation and other purposes.
Dam and reservoir near ferry across
Colorado in Colorado County, four miles
southeast of Ellinger and extending up-
stream to La Grange. Hydro-electric, ir-
rigation and other purposes.
Dam and reservoir on North Llano
River between confluence of North and
South Llano and Roosevelt in western
part of Kimble County. Hydro-electric,
irrigation and other purposes.
Dam and reservoir on South Llano near
mouth of Dry Draw, Edwards County.
Hydro-electric, irrigation and other pur-
poses.
Dam and reservoir on Colorado between
Granite Rapids in Burnet County and a
point two and one-half miles southeast of
Kingsland, Llano County. . Hydro-electric,
irrigation and other purposes.
Dam and reser-oir on Pedernales begin-
ning at Blanco-Hays county line and ex-
tending upstream to Long. 98 20' W.Hydro-electric, irrigation and other pur-
poses.
Dam and reservoir on Colorado River
in Coke County beginning eight miles be-
low Robert Lee and extending upstream
to point twenty-five miles northwest of
Robert Lee. For irrigation of approxi-
mately 100,000 acres.
Dam and reservoir on Pecan Bayou be-
ginning in Brown County two miles below
confluence of Pecan Bayou and Jim Ned
Creek and extending ten miles up these
streams. All purposes, including irriga-
tion of about 50,000 acres.
Dam and reservoir on Colorado from
point three-quarters of a mile above
mouth of San Saba River to point fifteen
miles above Regency. Hydro-e!ectric.
Dam and reservoir on Colorado from
point one mile above Nash's ferry up-
stream to Congress avenue bridge, at
Austin.
Dam and reservoir on Colorado between
Missouri-Kansas-Texas bridge about two
miles south of Bastrop to point one mile
above Nash's ferry.
Dam and reservoir on Colorado between
La Grange and Missouri-Kansas-Texas
bridge near Bastrop.
Brazos Watershed.
Dam and reservoir on Brazes from Hi-
dalgo Falls in Brazos County for twenty-
five miles upstream. All purposes.
Dam and reservoir on Brazos in Fort
Bend County beginning at point twelve
miles north of Richmond and extending
twenty-five miles upstream. All purposes.
Dam and reservoir on Bosque River in
McLennan County ten miles above conflu-
ence of Bosque and Brazos. Filed by Board
of Water Commissioners of Waco. For
municipal water supply and other pur-
poses.
Dam and reservoir on Brazos from mid.
dle of Dog Bend and upstream to Wichi-
ta Falls & Southern Railroad bridge two
miles northeast of South Bend, Young
County. All purposes.
Dam and reservoir on Brazos from point
five miles below confluence of Salt Fork
and Double Mountain Fork and extend-
ing up both streams for fifty miles. All
purposes.
San Antonio River Watershed.
Dam and reservoir on San Antonio
River from point near Falls City to point
half way between Karnes County line
and Floresville. All purposes, including
irrigation of 50,000 acres.
Dam and reservoir on Salado Creek,
southeast of San Antonio. All purposes.
Nueees-Frio Watershed.
Dam and reservoir on Atascosa River
from point where Uvalde branch of S. A.,
U. & G. R. R. crosses and ten miles up-.
stream. All purposes.
Dam and reservoir on Nueces River
from point where river crosses McM ullen-
La Salle county line and thence down-
stream to its junction with the Frio
River near Three Rivers.
Dam and reservoir on Frio River be-
tween point where river crosses McMullen-
La Salle county line downstream to junc-
tion with Nueces River near Three Rivers.
All purposes, including irrigation of 50,-
000 acres.
Dam and reservoir on east prong of
Nueces River above junction of east and
west prong and south of Lat. 29 30' N,
in Uvalde County.
