Mrs. M. P. Carr. Guy has been
in the navy for three years and
intends to serye his four years
and possibly more, as he has
worked himself up to a good
position.

Thrift Clubs
Thrift work is making pro-
gress in our schcol, week be-
fore list fifty stamps were sold,
of which lumber tho Sofre club
bought twenty-two Last week
125 thrift stamps were bought.
The little people of Mi-s West's!
room purchased forty one. The
Sofre club held its meeting
Tuesday morning in the pres-
ence of the school.
Play-ground Fund
We are delighted at a report
to the effect that the Phoenix
Club on last Thursday started
wish $14.00 a fund to be usee to
buy standard play ground equip-
ment for the school. This
amount seems little when we
consider the several hundred j
dollars needed for this purpose,
but all who are interested in
making our boys and girls
healthy and happy, are urged to
add your bit to theirs. Dreams

Camp Fire

Bowen were Camp Fire hostess-
es at th« January ceremonial
which was held at the school
building Saturday afternoon
Jan. 10th. The darkened room
with it« candle lights was pret-
tily decorated in ('amp Fire pos-
ters, articles in leather, etc. A
brown basket of ferns was the
center piece at the table where
hot chocolate and cake was ser-
ved. Camp Fire stamps sug-
gesting activities of the organi-
zation were used on the favors.
Verda Abbott received honors,
and Edyth Carr and Katherine
Bowen took the wood gatherers
degree at this meeting. This
was a Mothers' Council Fire,
and the kiris greatly appreciat
ed the presence of the five who
responded to their invitation on
that unfavorable afternoon.
Last Friday afternoon the
('amp Fire met for the first time
in the room which han been
granted them in the court room.
Some of the girls took from
Bryant Link's their pretty li-
brary table, which Mr. Link had
been kind enough to sell them
at a good redaction, Their joy
over the new quarters and school
