tell when I can come for certain, but I want to come before Willie and Lizzie come up here. I have a week or two of hard work in my crop, finishing it up, then I am coming. I will be glad to see Tom's presents. I hardly know whether to be glad or sorry about Floyd's writing. I suppose I ought to be glad for your sake, and would be if I was certain that you loved him as well as you think, but Emma, dear friend, I fear you are mistaken in your feeling towards him. I am glad you have not forgotten your promise. And I know you have not thought of it oftener than I have, for never will it be erased from
