now been demonstrated to be phoney ones...but
the principle involved: the freedom and the

choice, was vital then and is vital now, and will
always be vital in our free society.
Let us guard against any repetition, ever, of
this kind of witch-hunting in our school
system...whether it be hair-style control today or
thought-control tomorrow.
