ITHIS chronicle commemorates the end of our first year in High
School. In spite of all the terrible predictions of our prede-
cessors, we are brave and our hopes run high. Through all
the stages of our Prep and Freshmen years we have "put it over"
our sister classes. When the demand for ticket selling arose, it was
to our class the prize would have been given for Archie more than
held up the reputation of our class.
A short time before the close of our Prep year, our class bought
the American flag which now flies from the pole on the campus, and
presented it to the school as the doors of High School were opened
to us. We also put in both Prep and Freshmen commissioners con-
trary to the wishes of our sister classes.
At the opening of our Freshmen term, we decided to devote our
time principally to our studies. As a result of this resolution we have
produced one or more stars in each of the different phases of the
High School course. Russel is famous for his ability in working
math. Louis and Walter are noted for their Mechanical Drawing,
while Miriam is unequaled for fluency in Latin. Elbert and Myrl
are our musicians, while Elizabeth and a great many others are our
versatile students.
Some of these same stars which now can scarcely be seen above
the horizon of life, will one day rise into prominence and illuminate
the whole world.
