...Where'd all the time go ?
Many congratulations to all the
nominees, It seems that there are
ho many eluctions these days, sure-
ly all- of xis can be elected for
something.
Both Dallas and Tarleton under-
went. a sudden change of atmos-
' phere last week, Pallas witnessed
the string- of'tor-
nadoes that rip-
pod through the
cit.y only days be-
fore Tai'letoii
witnessed a
swarni of Future
Farmers that in-
vade*' 'he cam-
fA ■ "ty% ||| pus for their an-
f nual judging con-
Thompson test. I've never
seen so many judges in all my
life,
! V
Judges Judged
There were dairy cattle judges,
poultry judges, land judges, and
dairy products judges. The Tarle-
ton .agriculture. students and fac-
ulty members assisted in the con-
test by acting' 'as judges' judges.
After they -'got through judging
everything else, they all assem-
bled in the Main Auditorium for
a shoi-t session of judging each
other. Really, they weren't sent
there for that. The judges' judges
sent them there to wait until they
could get the judge's judged. (?)
Honestly, it was great to have all
the boys with us. I'm sorry I got
fed up with it so early and had
to leave.
"Shook Up"
Is it any wonder that Elvis is
"All Shook Up?" With his popu-
larity depreciating as it is and
strange rumors going around that
he might also lose' his sideburns,
the time is very appropriate for
Kim to get shook. However, regard-
less of whether or not they will
Aclmit it, most people like' that
type of music; but move over
Presley, according to record'sales,
you're losing ground- faet.
Failure
A' freshman student recently
quipped, "My name wasn't on the
honor roll or probation list, and.
what's worse, I slept through sen-
ior calisthenics; so I guess I'm
just a nothing around here, I don't
liave anything to brag , about,
gripe about, or laugh about." I
guess that's the way it goes, some
people just don't get the .breaks.
•But, even though the failure to
witness "freshman day" activities,
cannot be recalled, I understand
finals are fully capable of acquir-
ing a distinguished position on one
of the, two lists mentioned. .
/Woolen Undies
I guess we should all face it.
Winter's here to stay this year.
Here it is time already for the
swimming pool to open, and they
are afraid to open it. They've de-
tided that since most of us are
..still wearing our long woolen un-
dies, the change would be too
great to change from them into
'swimming trunks.
Word to Wise
Seriously now, you shouldn't be
wasting your time reading this,
and I shouldn't be wasting my time
•writing it, so I'm quitting with a
S?w words to everyone in the
. same? shape I'm in. You'd better
get busy, boy.
