Record Spring Enrollment
Lovelace Releases Spring Registration Figures
Hoyt Lovelace, acting regis-
trar, today released final regist-
ration figures for the spring sem-
ester, 1971.
A record 2,635 students are
enrolled in classes at TSC for
the spring semester. This figure
is up nearly 300 students from
the 2,345 students enrolled by
the 12th class day of the spring,
1970 semester and shows a 12.4
increase in enrollment over that
date.
The general trend the past
four years has been a fairly rapid
upwards climb. The spring sem-
ester enrollment in 1967 was a
mere 1,792 students. This
spring's figures represent a 47%
increase over the spring sem-
ester, 1967.
Joe Harrison, flight instructor of the R0TC flight training program at Tarleton, presents full
wing badges to cadets Mike Temple, Jimmy Zinke, and Robert Whiting. Also receiving badges
but not pictured are Larry Franklin and Mike Massen^ale. These cadets have completed class-
room and in-flight training and recently soloed. The Corps flight program is open to all senior
cadets who can pass rigorous mental and physical examinations.'
