STILLWATER, Okla. - The Tarleton
eros<? country teams participated in the
oldest cross country meet m the nation,
the Oklahoma State Jamboree in Stillwa-
ter, Okla
; Ihe Texans finished fifth in the col-
lege division with 188 tot JI points while
the women were fourth with 138 points
* "We wanted to win the college divi-
sion, but we did run pretty good time
as a pack," said Tarleton head coach Pat
ponder "Not having some of our run-
ners, especially on the men's side, hurt
tis a bit Overall I am pleased with the

ing course "
Leading the way for Tarleton's men's
team was Rev Hmojosa who finished
eighth with a time of 26 02 Gerzain Va-
jenzuela finished No 23 with a time of
26:41 while Travis Fort was 28th with a
time ot 26.50.
Also running for the Texans was
Jared McNeil (27:49) and Kevin Emmret
(28 44).
Leading the way for the TexAnns
was Claudia Castanon who finished No.
17 with a time of 19 37 while teammate
Kymbeilee Trnka finished No 21 in
19 45. Shadoh Campbell was 22nd finishing one
second behind Irnka. Angela Rikei was No 36
with a time of 20 06
Also running foi the TexAnns was Sheila
Bishop (20 16), I )amelle Webber (20 46) and Mor-
gan Kuvkendall (2109) Knsta Morris did not
participate in Saturday's event
The Tailelon cross country teams will return
to action at the Angelo Stale Blue and Gold C las-
sie in San Angelo on Tuesday, Oct 9
