i*he Mysterious Club.
A Monday night the newly
.nized Mysterious Club held a
.eting and initiated the members,
he young lady members were
blindfolded and piloted by the
'•degree team" into the different
business places, where they were
required to ¿o through an amusing
oraeal, after which they were taken
to the residence of Mayor-elect and
Mrs. Ross W. Davis, where the
final initiatory ceremonies were
given. Even our new mayor had to
undergo the trying ordeal and if any
one doubts that girls can properly
initiate a man we would refer them
to our new mayor.
The rest of the evening was pleas*
antly passed, during which dainty
refreshments were served. We bt-
lieve that the Mysterious Club was
the first org nized bodv to con-
gratulate Hereford's new mayor.
