Miss Leila Gregg entertained a

evening, August 17. A jolly good
time was anticipated and the merri-

their expectations. A variety of

turned home pronouncing the affair
a pleasant one.
Mrs. J. A. Fox gave her Sunday
school class a delightful outing at
Sulphur Park, Monday, August 17.
Her class consists of about twenty-
five little boys, and to say an all
day picnic with a toy balloon ascen-
sion and a swimming pool for amuse-
ment afforded them an ideal day of
sport, would be mildly expressing it.
In addition to the ciass, the follow-
ing friends were invited to take part
with this jolly crowd: Rev. W. M.
Baker and family and their guests,
Mrs. Chapman and daugher, Miss
Lillie; Mrs. O. E. Thomas and

family, Mr. and Mrs. Boardman and
family, Mesdames G. H. Guinn, C.
P. Estes and T. M. Palmer.
On Friday evening of last week
Rev. and Mrs. W. M. Baker enter-
tained a party of young folks at the
Presbyterian manse in honor of Mrs.
Baker's sister, Miss Chapman. Ow-
ing to the inclement weather, quite a
few of the invited guests were pre-
vented from going. However, the
few who braved the weather felt
many times repaid for the efforts
made. The evenine was oleasantlv
spent guessing conundrums and in
progressive conversational games.
Refreshments of ice creem and cake
were served and the young people
found it very pleasant to have been
numbered among the guests of Rev.
and Mrs. Baker <jn this happy occa-
sion.
