will be on display on and after Monday, Sept. 28. On account of a delay in the
shipment of these goods it will be impossible for us to have our usual Millinery
Opening, but we can assure our many friends and patrons that our Millinery De-
partment will be more up-to-date and complete than ever before (if that be possi-
ble) and cordially invite the inspection of the Ladies of Hereford and vicinity.
Our stock in every way is full and complete and besides the many special bargains we are making corre-
spondingly low prices on everything. We want your trade and will make every effort in our power to merit
your patronage by giving you courteous treatment and the most goods of the best quality for the least money.
Persons ordering goods over 'phone will be expected to pay delivery boy for same. We will send bill with
each delivery. Please do not order stuff sent up unless you want to pay for it when received. Trusting that
you will avail yourself of the low prices we are putting out and thanking you for past favors,

Rev. A. W. Rogers, a' veteran
Methodist minister of Daihart, was
in the city this week visiting friends
and preached a very acceptable ser-
mon at the Methodist church Wed-
nesday night.

over the completeness and up-to-
dateness of the Searchlight plant
and made the strong remark that '

seen in a town of less than 10,000
inhabitants, and said the Hereford !
people could well be proud of hav- :
ing within its borders such a newsy
paper and up-to-date printing plant.
Rev. A. W. Crawford spent a
few days in Amarillo this week.
Charles Hannaford has been in
the city this week from the Green
Valley Ranch attending court.

A party from Wichita Falls, con-
sisting of Ed Scurry, Archie An-
derson, R. M. Moore and Shiloh
Gounan of Seymour, passed thru
Wednesday enroute to Roswell and
told friends at the train that they
would probably stop off at Hereford
on their return.
Bum, the town dog, came very
suddenly to the end of his way one
night last week and is therefore a
thing of the past, but the croquet
game for some weeks played on
Piazza Del Norte still holds out,
tho is apparently on its last legs, as
the negroes use to say.
