find willing to put on shoulder

did you find talk of a young
sophomore named Steve Wor-
ster. - /
However, this year the name
of Worster in foe camps sends
chill bumps up and down play-
ers and coaches alike.
For, from out of nowhere Wor-
ster came charging like a dream
fullback and romped to 1,445 net
yards on 219 rushes and a 66
yards per carry average.
He also completed six of 14
passes for 73 yards *pd one
touchdown, and scored 16
touchdowns and eight extra
points for 104 of the Cardinal
pointsl
For this he was named to
the all-state first team and now
the whole state is looking to-
wards his junior year.
In fact, Texas Football
(bought enough of the 6-0, 200-
pound tailback-fullback combi-

their 1965 super team which is
made up of the best boys across
the state from all classes. Steve

team.
The magazine also says that

Silsbee's Ray McGallion was
the only head coach who failed
to pide the Tigers as the pre-'

this year, there is still plenty of
Red Birds around to make
quiet a team for Wilson and his
staff.
The list of regulars bade
seems endless, but it's only
drop in the bucket compared to
the lettermen back. Worster, of
course, is the most noted among
the regulars with the rushing
and passing credentials.
But, also bade in the back-
field are quarterbacks Johnny
