DR. STOTTS & CO. a NM ,?
DR. STOTTS AND COMPANY.
This advertising firm was composed of T. M. Stotts and
S. V. Young, both renegade doctors, Stotts having been run
out of Arkansas for illegal practice. He ran an institute
in Little Rock known as the Eclectic Medical Institute, and
under the laws of Arkansas his license was revoked. He
hotfooted it to Texas, and in partnership with Young
opened the offices of Dr. Stotts & Co. An investigator
whom we sent to see them, found their offices with double
reception rooms, so that Stotts patients could not see or
know Young, and vice versa with Youngs patients, and
each posed as the wonderful Stotts as advertised. These
offices were arranged for the purpose of their refeeing
game as I shall describe later.28
