The President laid the bill and the House amendments before the Senate.
COMMITTEE AMENDMENT NO. 1
Amend S.B. 1048 by renumbering Section 4 as Section 5 and inserting Section 4
to read as follows:
"Sec. 4. There is hereby appropriated to the Secretary of State out of the
General Revenue Fund for the biennium ending August 31, 1975 the sum of $600,000
for the purpose of implementing this Act.".
COMMITTEE AMENDMENT NO. 2
Amend S.B. 1048 by deleting all above the enacting clause and substituting in
lieu thereof the following:
"A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
"AN ACT
"relating to methods of publicizing proposed amendments contained in Senate Joint
Resolution 11, as passed in the regular session of the 64th Legislature; appropriating
$600,000 for the biennium ending August 31, 1975 for this purpose; and declaring an
emergency."
The House amendments were read.
Senator Gammage moved to concur in the House amendments.
The motion prevailed by the following vote: Yeas 24, Nays 4.
Yeas: Adams, Aikin, Andujar, Braecklein, Brooks, Clower, Doggett, Farabee,
Gammage, Hance, Harrington, Jones, Kothmann, Lombardino, Longoria, Mauzy,
Meier, Ogg, Santiesteban, Schwartz, Sherman, Snelson, Traeger and Williams.
Nays: Creighton, Harris, Mengden and Patman.
Absent-excused: McKinnon, McKnight and Moore.
