HOUSE CONCURRENT RESOLUTION 1 WHEREAS, House Bill No. 2559 has been adopted by the house of 2 representatives and the senate and has been enrolled; and 3 WHEREAS, The bill contains a technical error that should be 4 corrected; now, therefore, be it 5 RESOLVED by the 81st Legislature of the State of Texas, That 6 the action of the speaker of the house of representatives and the 7 president of the senate in signing House Bill No. 2559 be declared 8 null and void and the signatures of the presiding officers be 9 removed from the bill; and, be it further 10 RESOLVED by the 81st Legislature of the State of Texas, That 11 the enrolling clerk of the house be instructed to re-enroll the bill 12 after making the following correction: 13 Add the following appropriately numbered SECTION to the bill 14 and renumber subsequent SECTIONS of the bill accordingly: 15 SECTION . DEPARTMENT OF STATE HEALTH SERVICES: STATE 16 EMPLOYEE PILOT PROGRAM. The Department of State Health Services 17 and the Employees Retirement System of Texas may enter into an 18 interagency contract to establish a state employee pilot program 19 consistent with federal guidelines for chronic disease prevention 20 and wellness initiatives. To support the pilot program the 21 Department of State Health Services may use funds received from the 22 American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 (Pub. L. No. 111-5) 23 or other such federal funds available to the Department of State 24 Health Services. Truitt
