1 AN ACT
2 relating to amendments to the Texas Timeshare Act.
3 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:
4 SECTION 1. Subsection (c), Section 221.022, Property Code,
5 is amended to read as follows:
6 (c) The commission may accept an abbreviated registration
7 application from a developer of a timeshare plan for any [if 4- ]
8 accommodations in the plan [a-e] located outside this state. The
9 developer must file written notice of the intent to register under
10 this section not later than the 15th day before the date the
11 abbreviated application is submitted.
12 SECTION 2. Subsections (b) and (d), Section 221.032,
13 Property Code, are amended to read as follows:
14 (b) The timeshare disclosure statement for a single-site
15 timeshare plan or a multisite timeshare plan that includes a
16 specific timeshare interest must include:
17 (1) the type of timeshare plan offered and the name and
18 address of :
19 (A) the developer; and
20 (B) the single site or specific site offered for
21 the multisite timeshare plan;
22 (2) a description of the duration and operation of the
23 timeshare plan;
24 (3) a description of the existing or proposed
