Chapter 834 1 AN ACT 2 relating to the calculation of a person's net resources for 3 purposes of determining child support liability. 4 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: 5 SECTION 1. Subsection (c), Section 154.062, Family Code, is 6 amended to read as follows: 7 (c) Resources do not include: 8 (1) return of principal or capital; 9 (2) accounts receivable; [.e] 10 (3) benefits paid in accordance with the Temporary 11 Assistance for Needy Families program; or 12 (4) payments for foster care of a child [ .i4-4 e 13 : =ALIo4; with depen t cilrn] . 14 SECTION 2. The change in law made by this Act to Subsection 15 (c), Section 154.062, Family Code, applies only to a proceeding to 16 establish or modify a child support obligation that is pending in a 17 trial court on or filed on or after the effective date of this Act. 18 SECTION 3. This Act takes effect September 1, 2009.
