  • Display Note: Henry Wilcox, a native of Rockbridge Country, Virginia, married Almira Bowles Bowen who lived on the Texas City area on land granted by Stephen F. Austin, about 1840. They lived in Shoal Point where they had five children born between 1842 and 1852. Henry Wilcox died in 1853 of yellow fever. (Taken from material submitted by Walter H. Wilson.)
