in so far as they may relate to this Act are hereby expressly
repealed.
SEC. 6. That the invalidation by the courts of any section or
provision of this Act shall not invalidate any remaining provision
hereof.
SEC. 7. That the fact that the educational facilities of the
territory within the Anton Independent School District are inadequate,
and do not meet with the present demand of the public
school interests, creates an emergency and an imperative
public necessity that the constitutional rule requiring bills to be
read on three several days be suspended, and the same is done,
and this Act take effect from and after its passage, and it is so
enacted.
[NoTE.-The enrolled bill shows that the foregoing Act passed
the Senate, 28 yeas, 0 nays; passed the House, 101 yeas, 1 nay.]

CREATING THE FRANKLIN INDEPENDENT SCHOOL
DISTRICT IN ROBERTSON COUNTY.
S. B. No. 334.] CHAPTER 52.
An Act creating the Franklin Independent School District in Robertson
County, Texas, validating all levies of taxes and contracts made in
behalf of the existing Franklin Independent School District; continuing
in office the board of trustees of said independent district; providing
for the maximum rate of taxation for the issuance of bonds and
the maintenance of the public free schools, repealing all laws in conflict
with the provisions of this Act and declaring an emergency.
Be it enacted by the Legislature of the State of Texas:
SECTION 1. The Franklin Independent School District in
Robertson County, Texas, is hereby created to include the present
Franklin Independent School District and to have the metes
and bounds as herein set forth:
Beginning at a rock in the old "Glass Ranch" 150 varas N.
70 E. from the west line of same, a P. 0. and Hic. for bearing
trees, thence S. 20 E. 704 varas cross the south line of said
"Glass Ranch" and north line of a tract now owned by Pierce
Davlin, N. 70 E. 150 varas from the N. W. corner of said Davlin
tract, at 1204 varas cross the south line of said Davlin tract,
and the N. line of the V. Mendez survey, abstract No. 237, at a
point S. 70 W. 31 varas from the N. W. corner of the J. W.
Davis 40 acre tract the said point being in the N. line of the
McAfee 18.3 acre tract at 1850 varas cross the S. line of the
said 18.3 acre tract at 2470 varas the S. line of the J. W. Davis
15 acre tract and the N. line of the J. A. James 17.8 acre tract,
said point being N. 60 E. 163 varas from the S. W. corner of the
