mon School District No, 2 in Oldham County, Texas, said district
voted a maintenance tax within the limits provided by the Constitution
of this State and also issued bonds to the amount of
$18,000.00, which said bonds have been sold; Therefore, said
election and the issue and sale of said bonds and the levy of said
maintenance tax, are hereby in all things ratified and confirmed
and validated and th.e same shall be a valid and binding obligation
upon the said Wildorado Independent School District.
SEC. 7. The title to all property now owned by Common
School District No. 2 of Oldham County, or held in trust for the
use and benefit of said district, shall from and after the passage
and taking effect of this Act, be vested in the trustees of the said
Wildorado Independent School District, and all obligations of said
Common School District No. 2 of Oldham County, shall be assumed
by the said Wildorado Independent School District.
SEC. 8. And it appearing to the Legislature that a majority
of the resident property tax-paying voters of the territory embraced
in Common School District No. 2 of Oldham County, have
petitioned, the Legislature to create said territory into the Wildorado
Independent School District, in accordance with this Act,
and the further fact that there exists an urgent need for more
effective control for the development of the public free schools in
said district, creates an emergency and an imperative public
necessity that the constitutional rule requiring bills to be read
on three several days be suspended and that this Act take effect
and be in force from and after its passage, and it is so enacted.
[NOTE.-The enrolled bill shows that the foregoing Act passed
the Senate, 28 yeas, 0 nays; passed the House, 105 yeas, 0 nays.]

CREATING THE TAVENER INDEPENDENT SCHOOL
DISTRICT IN FORT BEND COUNTY.
S. B. No. 273.] CHAPTER 65.
An Act creating the Tavener Independent School District in Fort Bend
County, Texas; defining its boundaries; providing for a board of trustees
in said independent district and conferring upon said district and
its board of trustees the rights, powers, privileges and duties now
conferred and imposed by the General Laws of the State upon independent
school districts and the board of trustees thereof; providing
for the election of trustees; for the raising of revenues, issuing of
bonds, building and maintaining of school houses, maintaining public
free schools; declaring valid the maintenance tax heretofore voted and
bonds issued by said district; providing for the collection of the present
maintenance tax levy; vesting the title to all moneys and property
of Tavener Common School District No. 29 in the Tavener Independent
School District; providing for the assessment and collection of
taxes in said district and creating an emergency.
Be it enacted by the Legislature of the State of Texas:
SECTION 1. That an Independent School District is hereby
created and established in Fort Bend County, Texas, to be
