CREATING      EL CARRO INrDEPENDENT SCHOOL DISTRICT
IN JIM WELLS COUNTY.
S. B. No. 204.]             CHAPTER 29.
An Act creating the El Carro Independent School District In Jim Wells
County, Texas; defining its boundaries, providing a board of three
trustees, and for the election of their successors, investing said district
and its trustees with full powers, privileges, and duties as provided by
General Law for school districts, incorporated for free school purposes
only; investing the trustees with the control of the public schools in
said district, authorizing the levy and collection of taxes for certain
purposes, authorizing the Commissioners' Court of said county to levy,
and the assessor to assess, and the collector to collect, under certain
conditions, such taxes as the trustees of said school district shall
request, and declaring an emergency.
Bel t enacted! by the Legislatlre of the State of Texas:
SECTION 1. The El Carro Independent School District is hereby
created and established including within its boundaries the following
territory described by metes and bounds, as follows:
Befrinnino at a mesquite post inarkel "   ," the original S. E.
corner of A. Perez, deceased, 8765.8 acre tract, out of the "La
Trinidad de Lara" grant, a point on the west line of R. Adams
pasture, for a corner of this district; thence S 89 deg. 50' W, 5659
varas to a post marked "A", the S. W. corner of W. T. Wright's
original 2,000 acre tract, for a corner of this district: thence N. '0
deg. 06' W, 173.2 varas to the S. E. corner of Guadalupe Garcia
and Fidela Garcia. 785 acre tract, for a corner of this district; thence
S. 89 deg 50' W. 2650 varas to, the S. W. corner of Guadalupe
Garcia  and   Fidela  Garcia  785  acre tract, a point on the east
boundary line of a, certain tract originally owned by the heirs of
R. D. Moore, for a corner of this district: thence N  0 dero 01' 3()"
E about 210 varas to the S. E. corner of Section No. 3 of the origof
the Nueces County school lands, for a corner of this district;
thence west 1916.8 varas to an inner corner of Section No. 10 of
the said Nueces County school lands and N. W. corner of' the tract
originally owned by the heirs of R. D. Moore, for a corner of this
district; thence south 1583 varas to the S'. E. corner of Section 10
of the Nueces County schol lands, for a corner of this district;
thence west 2876.2 varas to the S. W. corner of Section No. 17 of
the Nueces County school lands for a corner of this district: thence
N. 10 deg 25' E, along the west line of a Portion of the Nueces
County school lands and east line of Share No. 1 of La Trinidada
Flores  thence in
a northwesterly direction about 9,000 varas along the south boundary
line of Mrs. Rowena, Schaeffer's pasture to a point, where the
west boundary    line  of Jim  Wells Conty intersects said south
boundary line and north boundary line of Slhare No. 4 of the heirs
of Antonio Jose, for a corner of this district; thence north along
