CREATING TALPA INDEPENDENT ,SCHOOL DISTRICT IN
COLEMAN COUNTY.
H. B. No. 293.] CHAPTER 13.
An Act to create the Talpa Inependent School District in Coleman County,
Texas, including the present Talpa District of said county, providing
a board of trustees therefor, vesting said independent school district
and board ot trustees with all the rights, powers, privileges and duties
conferred upon independent school districts incorporated under the
General Laws of Texas; providing that the board of trustees of the
present Talpa District shall continue to act as such until their successors
are elected in accordance with the General Laws of Texas, and
declaring an emergency.
Be it enacted by the Legislatutre of the State of Texas:
SECTION 1. That the Talpa Independent School District in Col,man
County, Texas, is hereby created and established, including
the present Talpa School District, with metes and bounds as follow's:
Beginning at the N E corner of D. Thompson survey No. 311 in
Coleman County, Texas, in S line of Herring County line, District
No. 1. Thence S. 1344 vrs with the E. line of Thompson survey to
its S E corner and N W corner of W. F. Sharp survey No. 68.
Thence E. 793 vrs with the N line of said Sharp survey to its N E
corner in W. line of G. M. Morgan survey No. 309. Thence N 254
vrs with the W. line of the G. MI. Morgan survey No. 309 to its
N. W. corner. Thence E. 155.2 vrs with the N. line of the Morgan
survey No. 309 to the N E corner of J. L. Richardlson tract of 163
acres out of the said Morgan survey Thence S. through said Morgan
survey No. 309, passing S. E. corner of said Richardson tract
at 1142 2-10 vrs, continuing S. 546 vrs to A B Wilson S E corner.
Thence WV. 684 vrs to the N E corner of J. W Stokes 153 acre tract.
Thence S. 1015 vrs with said Stokes E line to corner. Thence W.
100 vrs to corner. Thence S 711 vrs with the E line of No. 66,
B. B. B.
