this Act shall take effect and be in force and effect from and after
its passage, and it is so, enacted.

[The foregoing Act was presented to the Governor of Texas for
his, approval on the 20th day of February, A. D. 1923, but was
not signed by him nor returned to the House in which it originated,
with his objections thereto, within the time prescribed by the Constitution,
and thereupon became a law without his signature.]

CREATING DEATS INDEPENDENT SCHOOL DISTRICT IN
KIMBLE AND EDWARDS COUNTIES.
H. B. No. 341.] CHAPTER 18.
An Act to create the Deats Independent School District in Kimble and
Edwards Counties, Texas, providing a board of trustees therefor, vesting
said independent school district and board of trustees with all the
rights, powers, privileges and duties conferred upon independent school
districts incorporated under the General Laws of Texas; providing that
the board of trustees of the present school in said district shall continue
to act as such until their successors are elected in accordance with
the General Laws of Texas, and declaring an emergency.
Be it enacted by the Legislature of the State of Texas:
SECTION 1. That the Deats Independent School District is hereby
created and established in Edwards and Kimble Counties, Texas, including
within its limits territory with metes and bounds as follows:
Beginning at the intersection of Kimble and Edwards County line
with the west line of Survey No. 5 Cert. No. 3104 G. C. thence south 2127 vrs. to point in west line of Survey No.
4. H. E. thence west with the north line of said
Welge land 12405 vrs. to the N. W. cor. same. It being also the
east line of the 01 Fleming land; thence south 901 vrs; thence S.
89 E. 1402 vrs. to, the N. E. corner of Survey No. 27 Cert. No. 380
A. B. thence S. I. W. 3955 vrs. to a fence which marks the
south boundary line of the said Henry Welge Jr. lands; thence
with said fence, S 801/ E. 145 vrs. S 871/2 E. 1318 vrs. S. 85 1/2
