SUDAN INDEPENDENT SCHOOL DISTRICT-AMENDiNG
ACT CREATING.
H. B. No. 235.] CHAPTER 19.
An Act to amend Chapter 35, Acts of the First Called 'Session of the
Thirty-seventh Legislature, being an Act creating the Sudan Independent
School District in the County of Lamb, State of Texas, by amending
Section 1 thereof so as to more accurately defined its boundaries,
and by adding Section 12a thereto, providing for the validation of certain
bond issues, bond and maintenance taxes, and the election and acts
of the officers of said district; and declaring an emergency.
Be it enacted by the Legislature of their Staite of Texas:
SECTION 1. That Section 1 of Chapter 35, Acts of the First Called'
Session of the Thirty-seventh Legislature, 1921. be amended to read
as follows:
" SECTION 1. That there is hereby created and established in
Lamb County, Texas, an incorporation for free scb4ool purposes
only, under the name of and to be known as the Sudan Independent
School District, which shall include within itsi limits the town of
Sudan and the following described property, to-wit:
Beginning at the northeast corner of Section five, in block S 2,
of tihe John H. Stephens Survey; thence south with th? east line
of said Section five to the southeast corner of same and the north
line of League No. 241, Cottle County School Land; thence east
with the north line to the northeast corner of League No. 241;
thence south with the east line of said League No. 241 to the southeast
corner of same; thence east with the north line of League No.
240 to the northeast corner of League No. 240; thence south with
the east line of said League No. 240 to the southeast corner of same;
thence east with the north line of League No. 239 to the northeast
corner of same; thence south with the east line of said League No.
239 to the southeast corner of same; thence west with the south line
of League No. 239 and League No. 238, Cottle County School land,
to the southwest corner of League No. 238; thence south with the
east line of League Nos. 233, 232, 231, 230 King County school land,
continuing south with the east line of League No. 229 and No. 228
to the, southeast corner of No. 228, Sterling County school land;
thence west with the south line of Leagues Nos. 228, 227, Sterling
County school land and the south line of League No. 213 Deaf Smith
County school land to the southwest corner of League No. 213, continuing
west with the north line of League No. 111, Crosby County
school land to the west line of Lamb County; thence north with the
