No. 3109 1 AN ACT 2 relating to physician and health care provider panels of 3 independent review organizations. 4 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: 5 SECTION 1i. Section 2, Article 21.58C, Insurance Code, is 6 amended by adding Subsection (h) to read as follows: 7 (h) Information that reveals the identity of a physician or 8 individual health care provider who makes a review determination 9 for an independent review organization is confidential. 10 SECTION 2. This Act takes effect immediately if it receives 11 a vote of two-thirds of all the members elected to each house, as 12 provided by Section 39, Article III, Texas Constitution. If this 13 Act does not receive the vote necessary for immediate effect, this 14 Act takes effect September 1, 2003.
