CREATING CARLISLE CONSOLIDATED INDEPENDENT
SCHOOL DISTRICT IN LUBBOCK AND HOCKLEY
COUNTIES
H. B. N. 353. ] CHAPTER 21
An Act creating Carlisle Consolidated Independent School District in
Lubbock and Hockley Counties, Texas; to be composed of the territory
now included within the Carlisle Independent School District and
Lindsey County Line Independent School District; defining its boundaries;
providing for trustees and for the election of their successors,
to manage and control the schools therein; authorizing the consolidated
school district to issue bonds and to assume the debts of both
the old districts; and invest said district with all the rights, powers,
privileges and duties of independent school districts organized or existing
under the general laws of the State of Texas.
Be it enacted by the ILegislature of the State of Texas:
SECTION 1 That the Carlslie Consolidated Independent
School District is hereby created and established out of the
territory heretofore composed of Carlisle Independent School
District and Lindsey County Line Independent School District,
in Lubbock and Hockley Counties, including the following territory:
Beginning at the S. E. corner of section 36, block AK, Lubbock
County; thence north of section lines six miles to the N. E.
corner of section 7 in block JS; thence west on section line five
miles to N. W. corner of section 19, block JS; thence north two
miles to N. E. corner of Section 32, block JS; thence west on
section line three miles and 325 varas to S. W. corner of section
12 in Hockley County; thence north 250 vrs. to the N. E. corner
of section 128, block A; thence west on section line of section
128, 2555.8 vrs. to N. W. corner; thence south on section
line 6689.8 vrs. to S. W. corner of section 8, block A, Hockley
County; thence east 1901 vrs. to S. E. corner of section 8;
thence south 400 vrs. to north line of section one, block D,
Hockley County; thence east to boundary line between Hockley
and Lubbock Counties; thence south on said county line to a
point directly west of the S. W. corner of section 17, block D-6,
Lubbock County; thence east to said S. W. corner of section 17;
