SEC. 2. That the consolidation proceedings of former
Crowell Independent School District and Common School District
Number 17 and Common School District Number 10 of
Foard County, Texas, including petitions and orders for elections
in said several districts and notices of such consolidation
elections, and the consolidation elections held in said former
Crowell Independent School District and in Common School
District Number 17 and in Common School District Number 10
of Foard County, Texas, on or about the 8th day of May, 1926,
and returns of said elections, and the orders of the commissioners'
court of Foard County, Texas, passed on or about the 12th
day of May, 1926, declaring the result of such consolidation
elections, and declaring the hereinbefore named three school
districts to be consolidated and declaring the boundaries of
Crowell Independent School District to be extended by such
consolidation so as to include the territory hereinbefore described,
being the territory formerly included in said hereinbefore
mentioned three school districts, be and the same are hereby
in all things ratified and validated, as of the respective dates
on which such proceedings respectively were had.
SEC. 3. The management and control of the public free
school of said Crowell Independent School District is hereby
vested in a board of seven trustees, that shall be composed of
seven persons who are resident citizens and qualified voters residing
within said district. The trustees of Crowell Independent
School District, as the same has heretofore been organized
and governed are hereby continued in office under this Act until
the expiration of their respective terms and until their successors
shall have been elected and qualified, as is provided by
the General Laws for the election of trustees in independent
school districts organized for school purposes only.
