PREDATORY ANIMALS-BOUNTIES-BURNET AND
LLANO COUNTIES.
S. B. No. 199.] CHAPTER 100.
An Act amending Section 1 of Chapter 44 of the General Laws of the
Regular Session of the 39th Legislature relating to bounties for the
destruction of certain predatory animals, so that said Chapter 44 will
hereafter include and apply to the counties of Burnet and Llano, in
addition to the counties now mentioned in said Chapter 44; and declaring
an emergency.
Be it enacted by the Legislature of the State of Texas:
SECTION 1. That Section 1 of Chapter 44 of the General
Laws of the Regular Session of the 39th Legislature be, and the
same is hereby amended so as to hereafter read as follows:
SECTION 1. It shall hereafter be lawful for the Commissioners'
Court of McCulloch, San Saba, Lampasas, Burnet and Llano
counties to pay out of the General Fund of said counties, bounties
for the destruction of wolves, wildcats and other predatory
animals within said counties as hereinafter provided.
SEC. 2. The fact that predatory animals are destroying livestock
and poultry in Burnet and Llano counties and the enactment
of this law is calculated to assist in eradicating said predatory
animals, creates an emergency and an imperative public
necessity that the constitutional rule requiring bills to be read
on three several days in each House be suspended, and said
rule is hereby suspended, and that this Act shall take effect and
be in force from and after its passage, and it is so enacted.
Approved March 16, 1927.
Effective 90 days after adjournment.
[NOTE-Although carrying the emergency clause, the above
Act did not pass by a roll call vote in the Senate and hence does
not take immediate effect.]
