TAX SALES IN DISTRICTS-REDEMPTION.
H. B, No. 6.] CHAPTER 20.
An Act providing for the redemption of property sold under a judgment
for taxes levied by any district organized under the laws of
the State of Texas; and declaring an emergency.
Be it enacted by the Legislature of the State of Texas:
SECTION 1. Whenever land shall be sold under a judgment
for taxes levied by or for any district organized under the laws
of the State of Texas with authority to levy and collect taxes the
owner of such property, or any one having an interest therein,
shall have the right to redeem same, or his interest therein,
within two years from the date of such sale in the same manner
and under the provisions of law applying to the redemption of
lands sold under judgment of a court as provided for the collection
of taxes for State and county purposes.
SEC. 2. The fact that the provisions of the constitution of
the State of Texas applying to the redemption of lands sold for
taxes should apply to such tax sales as made by districts organized
under the laws of the State of Texas and that many such
sales of lands are being made under tax suit foreclosures creates
an emergency and an imperative public necessity that the constitutional
rule requiring that bills be read on three several days
be and the same is hereby suspended and that this Act take effect
and be in force from and after its passage and it is so
enacted.

ACT OF CONGRESS.

An Act to agree to the provisions of Section VII of an Act of Congress
passed by the 69th Congress of the United States and approved
June 18, 1926, entitled 'An Act to provide for the storage of the
waters of the Pecos River'; and declaring an emergency.
Be it enacted by the Legislature of the State of Texas:
SECTION 1. That the State of Texas accepts and agrees to
each and all of the provisions of Section VII of an Act passed by
the 69th Congress of the United States, and approved June 18,
1926, entitled "An Act to provide for the storage of the waters
of the Pecos River."
SEC. 2. The fact that the Congress of the United States has
authorized the construction of certain irrigation works upon
