SQUIRREL LAW IN CERTAIN COUNTIES.
S. B. No. 63.] CHAPTER 18.
An Act providing for an open season on squirrels in Marion, Cass and
Bowie Counties, Texas, providing penalty, repealing all laws in conflict
herewith and declaring an emergency.
Be it enacted by the Legislature of the State of Texas:
SECTION 1. That from and after the passage of this Act it
shall be unlawful for any person to hunt, take, or kill any
squirrel except during the months of May, June, July, October,
November, and December in the counties of Marion, Cass, and
Bowie.
SEC. 2. Any person who shall hunt, take, or kill any squirrel
in the counties named in this Act at any time except the above
designated months shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor
and upon conviction shall be fined in a sum of not less than
Ten ($10.00) Dollars nor more than Fifty (50.00) Dollars,
provided that each squirrel killed in violation of this Act shall
constitute a separate offense.
SEC. 3. The fact that a large number of the citizens of the
above counties desire to hunt, take, and kill squirrel during
the above months create an emergency and an imperative
public necessity that the Constitutional Rule requiring bills
to be read on three several days be suspended and it is so suspended
and this Act shall take effect and be in force from its
passage, and it is so enacted.
Effective 20 days after adjournment.

An Act providing an open season or a period of time when it shall be
lawful to hunt, take or kill wild Mourning doves in the North and
South Zones, as such zones are defined in Article 878 of the Revised
Penal Code, as amended by Chapter 222, Page 326, Acts of the Fortieth
Legislature, Regular Session, and repealing any provision of the
law in conflict with this Act; making it unlawful to hunt, take or kill
wild Mourning doves at any other time of the year; providing a penalty;
and declaring an emergency.
Be it enacted by the Legislature of the State of Texas:
SECTION 1. There shall be an open season or period of
time when it shall be lawful to hunt, take or kill wild Mourning
