FOX LAW FOR FREESTONE COUNTY.
H. B. No. 141.] CHAPTER 58.
An Act to prohibit the taking, killing or possession of wild fox for the
purpose of barter or sale in certain counties; providing penalties, and
declaring an emergency.
Be it enacted by the Legislature of the State of Texas:
SECTION 1. It is hereby declared unlawful for any person
to take, kill, or have in his possession for the purpose of barter
or sale, any wild fox or the pelt thereof, for a period of ten
(10) years from and after the passage of this Act in the County
of Freestone.
SEC. 2. Any person who violates any provision of this Act
shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor and be fined by not
less than Ten Dollars ($10.00), nor more than One Hundred
Dollars ($100.00), and each pelt sold in violation of this Act
shall constitute a separate offense.
SEC. 3. Because there is no adequate law protecting fox in
the County named herein, and because of the desire to preserve
these animals, there is created an emergency and an imperative
public necessity that the Constitutional Rule requiring bills to
be read on three several days be suspended and the same is
hereby suspended and this Act shall take effect from and after
its passage, and it is so enacted.

by a viva voce vote; passed the Senate, February 26, 1934, by
a vote of 24 yeas, 0 nays.]

Effective 90 days after adjournment.

as amended by Chapter 220, Acts of the Regular Session of the 43rd Legislature;
and amending Article 3902 of the Revised Civil Statutes of
Texas, 1925, as amended by Chapter 220, Acts of the Regular Session of
the 43rd Legislature; providing for the fees of office that may be
retained by certain precinct officers in certain counties; providing for
salaries that may be paid certain assistants to certain officers in certain
counties, and declaring an emergency.
Be it enacted by the Legislature of the State of Texas:
SECTION 1. That Article 3883 of the Revised Civil Statutes
of Texas, 1925, as amended by Chapter 220, Acts of the Regular
