We are indeed glad to see the in-
terest manifested in farming as ad-
vocated by the Editor, the county
agent and others. It will evidently
cause many to devote a more thor-
ough and intensive method of culti-
vation, care and attention to the
growing crops.

Forty-Two Club
The most outstanding event in Cald-
well's social realm for the past week
was a party tendered-'tslife "42" Club
Saturday afternoon by Mrs. J. A.
at her home on Buck street. Mrs.
Gray is recognized by her many
friends as a hostess of the genuine
old southern type, whose hospitality
is revealed in every 'detail. Three
tables were jn readiness for the
thrilling games that occupied some
some three hours.
A lovely plate of delicious per-
fection salad, chicken sandwiches,
hot tea, with the accompaniment of
Charlotte Russe and cake was served.
A decidedly good time was ex-
pressed by those attending. Mesdames
I. E. Brooks and D. C. Alford had the
honor of being invited guests.
