The men (specifically John Nance Garner) says to the store attendent, " WHAT'LL YOU GIVE US? WE'VE GOT TO GET BACK TO WORK!" This cartoon is a commentary on the visit of the King of England, George VI and his wife Elizabeth to the United States in 1939. The congressional delegation selected to honor the royals consisted of those seen in the cartoon.
