be started in Roberts county has
been confirmed.
The new school house at Clar-
endon is nearly finished. It is a

ize as soon as possible and is now
discussing the matter.
They are warming up the spec-
ulators who are not actual settlers
down in Carson county.
Panhandle City ships frtight to

Three ambitious candinates are
said to want to be district Attorney
for the Panhandle this year.
Adobe Walls, in Hutchinson coun-
ty, has been made a post oitice and
William m. Dixon oppointed post
master.
A new post-oilice has b^en estab-
1 shed at Morion's Store in Lips-
comb county with J. W. Morton as
post master.
The Fort Worth & Denver will
put in an experimental farm at their
crossing on the Canadian river to
comprise 1,000 acres.
District Number 2 in Lipscomb
connty voted on the question of
levying 20 cents on the $100 lor
school purposes Tuesday last.
Mobeetie has bought the land on
which the town stands, the county
advancing the money. Lots are
obtained at $2 80 each under the
new titles.

tax collector, be relieved from cer-
